The Law of Attraction in our daily lives.
Some of you may have heard of the Law of Attraction, maybe you even currently use the principles, however for many it is not the understanding of this universal principle but the practical application that can cause most difficulty.
A little of the scientific background of Law of Attraction may help to explain the value of the simple tools and guidance offered later in this article and therefore help in the real life application of this powerful process.
The Law of Attraction simply states that whatever you give your attention, energy and focus to will be drawn into your experience, ‘That which is like is drawn unto itself’.
Very often we are asked, “well how does this work scientifically?” The answer is becoming clearer to the ‘proof required people’ as quantum scientists unravel what has been known by the wise ones and taken on faith since the dawn of time.
We are energy beings existing in an energy universe, in fact everything is energy directed by consciousness. So it should come as little surprise to us that when we choose thoughts, (which are a form of energy) we experience emotions or feelings, which simply let us know what kind of energy we are choosing with that thought, and that the thought actually affects physical matter, the things around us, our reality.
So the way we feel (vibrate) is extremely important to us in determining what turns up in our lives.
In fact to the extent that we can manage the way we feel second by second, minute by minute, we can determine with some certainty what our futures will be like. Wow that’s big, very big !
In fact it’s just how we were meant to be, conscious creators, creating our realities with each and every thought we choose. Somewhere along the line we lost these basic instructions and now a great many people create their lives, in effect by accident.
Their thoughts still have the same effect creating their reality but they don’t even realise that they are the ones doing it and therefore attract all sorts of things to themselves both good and not so good. Of course they claim credit for all the good things that they have attracted, however when the bad stuff shows up they blame anyone or anything for it turning up, when in truth they alone are the cause for it and mostly likely it is happening subconsciously without them even being consciously aware of it.
Alright, I know this opens up some big questions about how we can manage our thoughts and more accurately have conscious control of feelings (vibrations), so here are a selection of tools that you can start using straight away to gain more conscious control over your thoughts and the impact they have on your life, lets start creating life by design rather than accident, it’s much more fun that way!
Always make sure that your focus is on what you do want rather than what you don’t.
This one sounds simple, but far too many people are great at saying what they don’t want in life and guess what, by putting the attention, energy and focus on what they don’t want they are in the process of attracting it. Much better, decide what you don’t want and then say to yourself “so what do I want ?”
and put your attention on what it is you do want. That way you’ll be attracting what you do want.
Eliminate the words, don’t not and no from use when talking about your desires and what you would like to see turn up in the future.
The brain doesn’t recognise these words and simply places the focus on the very thing you didn’t want. Sceptical ? Try this, Don’t think of an pink elephant on roller skates right now !
The brain has to picture the words to make sense of them, so do yourself a favour and throw out those don’t , not and no’s.
Examine your self talk(the things you say to yourself ) and unguarded comments that just pop out of your mouth without thinking about them during conversation.
These can be like poison to your wants and desires and very harmful to feeling good.
As a simple rule of thumb if the things you say to yourself or during casual conversation are not the kind of things you would willingly write on a sticky pad and place on your mirror, to see and repeat each and every day, then eliminate them.
A few examples could be: “I never have any good luck” “ I never have enough money” “ Money just slips through my hands” “ I’m always late” “ I always mess up” “ I’m no good with (men / women)”
And the favourite response to the common greeting or question How’s things? “not bad” or “not too bad”
What are we really saying when we reply like this and more importantly what are we putting the focus on ? Yes you got it, feeling bad or feeling a degree of bad.
You can start today and change that simple response to a more positive one like “ I’m good” or even “ I’m feeling great thanks” and you’ll discover how you begin to feel different and how people and things around you start to become different.
These are just a few simple examples of how language and thoughts can affect your feelings and now, as we know, because of the vibrational effect of Law of Attraction, they affect your future.
There are lots more tools and techniques to align yourself with the true power contained within the Law of Attraction principles.
